There are many questions that are presented to us in one of the hardest and unknown stages in our lives. Through my experience I have been able to help many families and adolescents to make a full life, working on short, medium and long term goals.

When I thought about what information I wanted to convey in this section, I first thought about writing to the parents, explaining the benefits they would see in their children by taking personal coaching with me, and it was so, because I am a mother of two teenagers and I understand, not only Professionally but also personally, how complex is the coexistence when children arrive at this stage. However, I decided to write to your son or you that you want to create a “change” in your walk through this life

 

How is Coaching for teenagers?

When I work with teenagers in Personal Coaching it’s like entering a mysterious world, full of adventures and endless possibilities to explore. Actually “The trip” is fascinating. For me, working with people your age is to learn every day to know different ways to communicate, to resolve conflicts, and that what you live today is very complex.

Before starting our coaching sessions I will send you the “coaching agreement” that you should read carefully and bring signed at your first session. Since you are sure you understood all the details, we will agree on a day schedule to find a way of seeing each other, either in-person or online.

Coaching is not psychological therapy, you are not my patient, nor are you sick, I am not a doctor, I am a psychologist, educator but also professional coach internationally certified, and what we are going to do is coaching, therefore you will be my client, you are a person , you are well and you want to be better creating new tools to achieve it.

Before starting our coaching sessions I will send you the “coaching agreement” that you should read carefully and bring signed at your first session. Since you are sure you understood all the details, we will agree on a day schedule to find a way of seeing each other, either in-person or online.

You are the one who decides the way to continue based on your overall goal of Coaching and I will accompany you in your process, it is as if we go together in a car, you drive and I will hold the map, or rather the GPS. You decide the route to follow and I give you tools to achieve it, through YouTubes, readings, podcast, etc.

Our Coaching agreement is 12 sessions, approximately in session 10 we will make an assessment to see if we have achieved your overall goal. If you feel that you have achieved the goal for what you came for before the 12 sessions, we can finish. Sometimes, after some time people tend to realize that there are other areas that they want to improve, then, we can make an agreement and create a new goal of Coaching

You are in charge of your progress, in each session, except for the first or second session where we define your goal, you decide what you want to make out of your sessions, that session objective must be linked to your overall goal. In each session together we will create action plans for you to execute.

Everything we talk about will be confidential, unless you tell me that you are planning to do something crazy (suicide or anything) if there is a specific situation that you think is important to talk to your parents, together we’ll create the strategy to communicate it.

In conclusion

The idea is that your Coaching sessions are a “space” where you can feel relaxed and confident, to create ways to feel better.

Some of the topics that I usually work on in Coaching are: Time management, life plan, emotional Intelligence development, conflict resolution, decision making, communication skills, sexual identity conflicts, how to reduce Anxiety and stress, etc.
