ERIKA MONROY’S SUMMER WORKSHOP FOR TEENS was created to empower the youth by enhancing their social-emotional skills. This is done through the use of group dynamics and personal exercises that make the participant reflect about priorities in life, elaborate action plans to be productive, and achieve professional, personal, and family goals.
2020 IS THE 7th YEAR Erika has offered this workshop! Her mission is to develop and enrich positive life skills in order to impact our community and wellness of our youth.
Each session is designed to impact every participant via Professional Coaching. This is why the number of participants is limited to no more than 15 participants.

SESSION 1.DEVELOPING YOUR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE & THE POWER OF MINDFULNESS
Do you want to learn how to express your feelings? Do you want to be emotionally strong? Do you have trouble understanding your emotions? Do you feel anxiety and don’t know what to do?
Today’s fast-paced, team-based and global work environments call for strong and effective social-emotional relationships. Emotional Intelligence (EI) competencies are at the heart of effective workplace relationships and productivity. They provide an integrated set of skills that support highly effective, fast-reacting, and innovative individuals.
This session emphasizes how to achieve greater Personal Awareness, Communication Skills, Positive Thinking, Bulling Prevention, Non-violent Conflict Resolution, Self Acceptance, Recognizing & Expressing feelings, Empathy and Active Listening, Self-Regulation by anger and anxiety management, Breathing techniques, and more.

Discover how to eliminate time-wasters to become productive. You will develop a personal approach to organize your time based on your life purpose. This session offers practical techniques which can be applied immediately to gain control. Participants will learn how to plan and prioritize more effectively while managing interruptions and distractors. We will do a short, medium and long term balanced life plan using the “Pizza of Life” that Erika created for specifically for teens. We will also cover topics such as: Decision Making, Teamwork, Developing a life & career plan based on life’s purpose, Leadership, etc.
ABOUT ERIKA MONROY
I have more than 25 years of experience supporting and educating people.
In Mexico, I graduated as a Clinical Psychologist, then I earned my Master’s degree in Psychopedagogy. I have diplomas in Music Therapy, Neuroscience and Mindfulness.
I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) since 2017, certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
My expertise is the development of social-emotional skills through e-Learning or face to face education.
I currently have two e-books related to Emotional Intelligence and Personal Reinvention.
As an immigrant with three different nationalities, I work with companies, entrepreneurs, families, parents, teenagers, and others discussing issues related to multiculturalism.
